Samsung seems to have reportedly slashed the price tags of two of its smartphones - the Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime.
The information regarding the price cut of the two Samsung phones comes from the Twitter handle of the Mumbai-based offline retailer - Mahesh Telecom. According to the tweet, the 32GB variant of both Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime have been slashed by Rs. 2,000 each. After the price cut, the Galaxy J5 Prime is priced at Rs. 12,990 and the Galaxy J7 Prime is available at Rs. 14,900.
To refresh on the specifications, the Galaxy J7 Prime boasts of a 5.5-inch 2.5D glass display with FHD 1080p resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under its hood, the smartphone features a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 32GB storage space and 3GB RAM. There is a microSD card slot facilitating expandable storage up to 256GB. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the phone has a 3300mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, and standard features.
For imaging, there is a 13MP main camera at the rear of the smartphone with f/1.9 aperture, auto focus, and LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera as well.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J5 Prime flaunts a smaller 5-inch HD 720p display. The smartphone comes with a quad-core processor paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage space, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. This smartphone also comes with a similar rear camera as the Galaxy J7 Prime but the front facer is a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Both the smartphones have 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, dual SIM support and other standard connectivity features on board.
