Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Launch Date in India Set for March 17; Check Full Specs and Expected Price Range

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new M-series phone in India, dubbed the Galaxy M17e 5G. The smartphone is scheduled to arrive on March 17. Following its debut, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Amazon, where a dedicated microsite has already gone live.

Samsung Galaxy M17e Specifications

The Galaxy M17e 5G sports a 6.7-inch HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports Adaptive Brightness with High Brightness Mode (HBM) that automatically adjusts brightness based on surrounding light conditions, even under direct sunlight. It measures 8.2mm in dimension and carries an IP54 water- and dust-resistance rating. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which is expected to come at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Galaxy M17e 5G also packs a 6000 mAh battery that is claimed to offer the segment's longest video playback time of up to 26 hours. For imaging, there is a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP front camera. On the software front, the phone runs on Samsung's One UI 8.0, based on Android 16.

One UI 8.0 also includes the Now Bar and Live Notifications, which highlight active tasks. The phone integrates the Google Gemini AI assistant that generates text, explains concepts, summarizes information, and assists with planning tasks. It supports Google's Circle to Search and Samsung also promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M17e.

Galaxy M17e Price in India (Expected)

While the brand is yet to reveal the price, Amazon has hinted that the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G will fall under the Rs 14,000 segment. Given this, we expect the price to be between Rs 10,000 and Rs 14,000.
