Samsung Galaxy M55 5G With Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Goes Official; India Launch Expected for April
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has gone official as the latest mid-range offering from the brand. The handset succeeds the Galaxy M54 5G from last year.
The design of the Galaxy M55 is identical to the recently announced Galaxy A55. However, the Galaxy M55 is based on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and includes a 5,000 mAh battery, triple camera system, and much more.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera.
The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which also supports an additional storage expansion of up to 1TB. The Galaxy M55 runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 on top and supports 45W fast charging.
For imaging, there is a 50MP main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. Upfront, the Galaxy M55 gets a 50MP selfie camera sensor. The phone includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and dual stereo speakers for connectivity.
The Galaxy M55 also comes with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 180 grams. As far as the price is concerned, the smartphone is priced at BZR 2,699 (around Rs 45,000) in Brazil. It is offered in Light Green and Dark Blue colour variants.
Samsung Galaxy M55 5G: Coming to India?
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is expected to launch in April in India. The Galaxy M15 will also likely come along with the Galaxy M55 5G in the country. Although there is no official confirmation on the same. So, it's better to take it as a hint and stay tuned for more updates on the same.
