Samsung Galaxy M56 5G Launched in India: Check Price, Specs, and Availability
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M56 5G in India, following up last year’s Galaxy M55 with a modest yet meaningful update.
While the design remains familiar, the new model adds tougher screen protection, longer software support, and enhanced AI-powered tools for photos and editing.

Display and Build
The Galaxy M56 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster for improved outdoor visibility. One of the key hardware upgrades this year is the addition of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back, which should offer better resistance to scratches and drops.

Samsung has also slimmed down the bezels by 36 percent, giving the front a more modern, edge-to-edge feel. At 7.2mm thick and 180g in weight, the device stays relatively slim and light despite its size.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the phone is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor, backed by 8GB LPDDR5x RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Storage is expandable via a microSD card. It runs Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 out of the box, and the company is offering an impressive six years of OS and security updates, bringing much-needed longevity to mid-range devices.
The 5,000mAh battery remains unchanged from the M55, along with 45W fast charging—good for a full day of heavy use.
Cameras and AI Features
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro lens, while the front camera gets a 12MP sensor—a downgrade from the M55’s 50MP front shooter. However, Samsung is focusing more on AI enhancements this time around. Features like AI Eraser, Edit Suggestions, and Image Clipper aim to streamline mobile photo editing directly on the device.
Price and Availability
The Galaxy M56 starts at ₹24,999, including offers. Sales begin on April 23 at 12 PM IST via Amazon and Samsung.com. Buyers using HDFC Bank cards can avail a ₹3,000 instant discount. It comes in Light Green and Black color variants.
