Samsung Galaxy Note 9 might pack a 4,000mAh battery
Galaxy Note 9 could be the first Samsung device to feature such a large battery.
Since Samsung has already launched the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, fans are waiting for the Galaxy Note 9. Of course, it won't get launched before Q3, but that doesn't stop the rumor mill from churning out new details about the phablet. Fresh information suggests that the Galaxy Note 9 will pack a large battery.
A well-known tipster has said that the Galaxy Note 9 will feature either a 3,850mAh battery or a 4,000mAh battery. Whereas, the Galaxy Note 8 came with a 3,300mAh battery. Usually, Samsung flagships pack smaller batteries as compared to flagships from other brands. If the tipster's claims are true, the South Korean tech giant plans to make an exception this year.
A separate leak suggests, the Galaxy Note 9 will ship with a 6.4-inch display, which is a slight upgrade over its predecessor. The phablet is also expected to sport an Infinity Display 2.0 design that we have already seen on the Galaxy S9 duo. The leak further reveals, the device will be equipped with a relatively tougher frame quality and cover glass.
As far as other specifications are concerned, the Galaxy Note 9 is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It could offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. However, we are not tossing out the possibility of another variant with higher configuration. The Galaxy Note 9 may have the same dual-camera setup that is present in the Galaxy S9+.
According to recent reports, Samsung is planning to unveil its flagship phablet earlier than other years. In fact, it could see the light of day as early as July or August. This is probably because the company wants to avoid being overshadowed by Apple, which is expected to release new iPhones in September.
Well, if we were to say, Samsung has taken the right decision. While the Galaxy Note series devices are great, we hardly see new technologies used in them. Apple, on the other hand, makes sure that its iPhones are bringing at least one never-seen-before feature. With the early launch, the Galaxy Note 9 will get a couple of months to grab the market before the 2018 iPhones are announced.
