Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Spotted On Wi-Fi Alliance; Expected To Arrive In December
Samsung is reportedly working on a new handset called the Galaxy S10 Lite. The device will be an extension to the Galaxy S series which was launched earlier this year with the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus, and the Galaxy S10e. The device has been buzzing via leaks and has also been certified by FCC recently. In the latest developments, the handset has been certified by another mobile authentication platform.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Online Certification Details
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has now been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance mobile authentication platform. The new offering in the Galaxy S10 series has been spotted with the SM-G770F model number.
The Wi-Fi Alliance listing reveals support for dual-band Wi-Fi, i.e, 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Apart from the Wi-Fi connectivity, the listing suggest Android 10 OS which is expected to be layered with a custom One UI 2.0 skin on top.
That's all the Galaxy S10 Lite listing on the Wi-Fi Alliance website suggests. But, the earlier leaks give us a fair idea of what to expect in terms of hardware.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite leaks have suggested a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a pixel density of 393 PPI. The display is likely to come with a punch-hole housing a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The triple-camera setup at the rear is tipped with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, a 12MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP sensor with an F/2.2 aperture. The cameras are said to offer OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Auto HDR, Panorama, and 4K video recording.
At the heart of it is likely to be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor teamed with Adreno 640 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. It would be hard to say just yet if the company will introduce multiple RAM and storage options of the Galaxy S10 Lite or it will be launched in just the aforementioned configuration.
We can expect some standard connectivity options like a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The device is tipped to be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with Quick Charging support.
It is worth mentioning that a recent leak suggested its entry in India by December. However, nothing concrete can be said at the moment. We are waiting for Samsung to announce the official launch date of the Galaxy S10 Lite and will keep you updated on the same.
