Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Could Debut on January 17 with Advanced LLW DRAM Technology
Samsung's Galaxy S24 series smartphones are set to launch on January 17, introducing innovative Low Latency Wide IO (LLW) DRAM technology. The LLW DRAM, designed for enhanced efficiency and real-time data processing, is expected to redefine the mobile AI and gaming experience.
Samsung's Push for Advanced DRAM Technology
Samsung Semiconductor has unveiled LLW DRAM, a groundbreaking DRAM solution boasting increased bandwidth and lower latency. This technology, integrated vertically alongside the processor in the System on Chip (SoC), promises improved efficiency and lower latency, making it ideal for real-time applications like mobile AI and gaming. Samsung plans to debut LLW DRAM in its upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S24 series.

Teaser Hints at Enhanced Performance
A teaser shared by Samsung on X (formerly Twitter) showcases the LLW DRAM's placement near the chipset, ensuring seamless coordination between the chipset, DRAM, and LLW DRAM. The video offers a glimpse of this technology in action within a smartphone, presumably the upcoming Galaxy S24 or S24+. Samsung plans to extend the use of LLW DRAM to laptops, gaming consoles, and other products.

Ice Universe, a reliable tipster, confirmed that Samsung will launch the vanilla S24 smartphone in an 8GB RAM variant, with the other two models available in both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. The devices will support 45W fast wired charging, as revealed by 3C certifications.
Samsung's Strategic Move Against Pixel 8 Series
The Galaxy S24 series aims to rival the Pixel 8 series, being the first non-Pixel smartphones to debut with Bard AI.
Samsung's DRAM Advancements: A Shift in Global Supply Chains
Beyond smartphones, Samsung's advancements in DRAM technology signal a broader shift in global supply chains. The video showcasing LLW DRAM highlights its versatility for smartphones, laptops, and even VR headsets. This development aligns with global trends, where companies are reconsidering their reliance on China for manufacturing.
