Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Full Specifications Leaked ahead of Expected January Launch

After the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, OEMs like Vivo, Xiaomi, and iQOO have already started releasing flagship smartphones with the new chip. And it isn't going to be any different for Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which is expected to debut sometime next month, will also use the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. While Samsung are yet to confirm details about the Galaxy S24 series, a new exclusive by Windows Report has revealed key specifications about the upcoming Galaxy S24 smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Launch, Color Options

First off, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to make its global and Indian debut on January 17, 2024. The line-up will include the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a Titanium frame with a flat display.

It is touted to be offered in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow color options. The Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will be offered in Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Cobalt Violet, And Amber Yellow shades.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Specifications (Expected)

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is also expected to feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Additionally, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will also pack a 5,000 mAh battery with wired and wireless fast charging support. The handset will run Android 14-based One UI 6.0 out of the box. Connectivity options will include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, and Ultra-Wide Band support.

For optics, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the same quad-camera setup as its predecessor. The report notes that the phone could opt for a 200 MP primary sensor with OIS, a 10 MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, a 12 MP ultrawide shooter, and a new 50 MP telephoto-periscope lens. Up front, we will likely see a 12 MP selfie camera.

Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus Specifications (Expected)

The Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus are expected to use the Exynos 2400 SoC, which comes as a surprise given Samsung has always switched between flagship Qualcomm and Exynos chips based on region. The chip on the Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is touted to pack a 4,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24 Plus could opt for a larger 4,900 mAh battery. Both the devices will support wired and wireless fast charging. Samsung is also expected to utilize AI-based technologies in the Galaxy S24 series.

For optics, both Galaxy S24 smartphones are expected to feature a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS support. The main camera will be paired with the same 12 MP ultrawide lens and a 10 MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom. Up front, we expect to see the same 12 MP selfie shooter.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 could sport a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Galaxy S24 Plus bumps the size and resolution of the display up.
