Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Specs Leak: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 144Hz Display Among Major Upgrades

Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Rumored Specs

The latest leak comes from SamLover, who revealed the significant improvements the Galaxy S24 series will receive over the Galaxy S23 series.

These upgrades concern the display, processor, and cameras. To begin with, SamLover reports that the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a 144Hz refresh rate display.

The Ultra lineup has always featured the best technology that the South Korean conglomerate had to offer, and if the leak is valid, we could be looking at one of the best smartphone displays for the coming year; the panel is expected to be Super AMOLED with QHD+ screen resolution.

Galaxy S24 Series to Come With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The chipset, which is expected to be Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be the next major upgrade. This chipset will power all of the S24 phones. There is no word on whether Samsung will produce Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 devices, but for the time being, it appears that Samsung will follow the same path as its Galaxy S23 series.

Aside from the processor, the Galaxy S24 series will ship with OneUI 6 on top of the upcoming Android 14 OS.

Galaxy S24 Series to Feature a 200MP Camera

Unlike the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which was the only one with a 200MP HP2 sensor, it appears that all Galaxy S24 series smartphones will have a 200MP sensor with a few improvements. The leak also claims that the next-generation lineup will have improved zooming capabilities.

Aside from optics, Samsung is expected to include satellite connectivity in its Galaxy S24 lineup, a feature first seen in Apple's iPhone 14 series.
