Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra May Not Feature Major Camera Upgrade
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra may debut next year, but rumors about the smartphone have already started circulating online. The latest report suggests that the upcoming flagship phone will not feature any significant upgrades in the camera department.
Galaxy S24 Ultra Camera Details
According to a report by prolific tipster Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will inherit the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor for the primary camera. It will also feature the same 12MP Sony IMX564 sensor for the ultrawide camera.

The smartphone will reportedly use a 12MP Sony IMX754 sensor for the telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The S24 Ultra will get one minor camera upgrade, the telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom, which will use a 12MP Sony IMX754+ sensor.
If the rumor turns out to be true, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will get minimal improvements in terms of the camera. To compete with other smartphone makers offering bigger upgrades with each iteration, Samsung will have to offer improvements under the hoods, such as upgraded software and better image processing.
While there's no word on the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ cameras, we can't expect any major improvements, considering that the top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra doesn't offer major camera upgrades.
Galaxy S24 Ultra Rumored Features
In Asia and North America, the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. In European markets, the handset could feature an Exynos 2400 processor.
According to earlier rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature a display with a Super AMOLED screen, a QHD+ resolution, and a refresh rate of 144Hz. As for the battery, the smartphone is expected to get a high-capacity battery aided by an EV-based stacking technology.
When it comes to the operating system, the Galaxy S24 Ultra could run One UI 6.0 out of the box, based on the upcoming Android 14. The smartphone will reportedly feature satellite connectivity.
