Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: New Leak Reveals Key Specs and Features Ahead of Expected April Launch
Samsung appears to be preparing for the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, the latest addition to its S25 series, with a possible debut in April 2025.
While the company has yet to make an official announcement, new leaks from industry tipster PandaFlash have surfaced, shedding light on some key specifications and features of the upcoming device.

A Slim and Durable Design with Advanced Display Tech
One of the most notable aspects of the Galaxy S25 Edge is its thin profile, which PandaFlash claims will measure around 5.84mm in thickness. If accurate, this would make it one of Samsung's slimmest flagship devices. Despite the compact design, the phone is expected to retain durability with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the display and an Armor Aluminum frame on the sides.
Samsung is also reportedly incorporating its Pro Scaler technology, a feature from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, to enhance visual quality by intelligently upscaling images and videos. Additionally, the device will feature an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, ensuring secure biometric authentication.
Camera System: 200MP Primary Sensor for High-Resolution Shots
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to house a 200MP main camera, marking a significant inclusion for a thin-design flagship. Alongside this, there will reportedly be a 12MP ultrawide sensor, allowing for wide-angle shots. On the front, the device is said to feature a 12MP selfie camera, placed in a centered punch-hole cutout.
While no additional camera details have surfaced, PandaFlash has suggested that Samsung is prioritizing image clarity and brightness, which aligns with its Pro Scaler technology. The combination of a high-resolution sensor and upscaling features could make the S25 Edge a strong contender for photography enthusiasts.
Battery and Charging: A Trade-Off for Thinness?
Samsung's focus on making the Galaxy S25 Edge thinner appears to come at a cost-battery capacity. According to PandaFlash, the phone will be equipped with a 3,900mAh battery, which is relatively small compared to other flagship smartphones. The charging speed is also expected to be limited to 25W, similar to the standard Galaxy S25 model.
This could be a concern for power users, as battery life may not be as extensive as other S25 series models. However, Samsung may have optimized software and hardware efficiency to help compensate for the smaller battery size.
Connectivity and Audio Features
The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to support the latest connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. Like its predecessors, the device is also expected to retain a dual stereo speaker setup, which should deliver enhanced audio performance for streaming and gaming.
Positioned to Compete with the iPhone 17 Air?
Rumors indicate that the Galaxy S25 Edge could be Samsung's answer to Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air, which is also expected to emphasize a slim and lightweight design.
With both brands focusing on thin flagship smartphones, this could be a shift in premium smartphone trends, where design aesthetics are prioritized alongside performance and efficiency.
Launch Timeline and Expected Pricing
While Samsung has not confirmed an official launch date, leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be announced in April 2025. Pricing details are still unknown, but given its premium specifications, the phone is expected to be positioned below the Galaxy S25 Ultra while still maintaining flagship pricing.
