Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Might Ditch In-house Exynos Processor; To Use Only Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC
While the launch of Samsung's Galaxy S25 series is still a long way off, rumours and leaks have already started giving hints of what to expect from Samsun's next-gen flagship models. Now, a recent report reveals the South Korean tech giant will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 across the Galaxy S25 lineup, there won't be any Exynos-powered variant.
Samsung Might Might Use Only Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
While Samsung uses both Exynos and Qualcomm's Snapdragon for Galaxy S series smartphones, this time all models of the Galaxy S25 series will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, as per a report by Hankyung.

Earlier Samsung was expected to use its in-house Exynos 2500 chip for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ models in certain regions. However, the company is now expected to use Qualcomm's upcoming flagship processor in all expected Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The report further stated Samsung will use the Exynos 2500 processor in next-gen foldable phones which are expected to come in the second half of next year. Coming to the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is tipped to get the same quad-camera setup as its predecessor, with a major upgrade to both the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.
The phone will sport a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is also expected to boast UFS 4.1 storage, capable of 8GB per second data transfer speeds, an upgrade from the UFS 4.0 flash storage in the current Galaxy S24 Ultra, which offers 4GB per second data transfer rates. As far as the launch is concerned, rumours suggested the Galaxy S25 series might launch in January 2025.
