Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Passed the Ultimate Durability Test

Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy S25 series comprising the Galaxy S24, the Samsung Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Now, the durability test video of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra model has been released by YouTuber Zack Nelson, showcasing the build of the latest flagship. Let's take a look at how the smartphone performed during this durability test.

Galaxy S25 Ultra's Durability Test Video Out

In a recent video, Zack Nelson, put the Galaxy S25 Ultra through a series of durability tests, revealing how well the device holds up under stress. He kicked off by highlighting the device's titanium build, a material choice consistent with recent models from leading brands like Apple and Samsung. This build not only enhances the phone's durability but also gives it a sleek, refined look, an improvement over its predecessor Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Nelson's focus then shifted to the Galaxy S25 Ultra's Corning Gorilla Glass Armor 2 screen protection. His scratch test revealed that the most significant damage occurs at level 7, indicating strong resistance to everyday wear and tear. This level of protection ensures the device's longevity and maintains its premium appearance over time.

One notable change Nelson discussed was the alteration to the new S-Pen, which has seen a downgrade by removing its low-power Bluetooth functionality. This feature was previously used for gestures and a button that could trigger the phone's camera to take photos. Despite these omissions, which eliminate the need for an inbuilt battery, the S-Pen still retains a slot for one, suggesting other potential uses or future updates could reintroduce some form of power requirement.

He also pointed out that the Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera rings are attached with a type of adhesive, which becomes evident during the durability test. He successfully removed these rings, revealing they primarily serve an aesthetic purpose.

Interestingly, Nelson observed that the smartphone appears more visually appealing without these decorative rings, suggesting that their function is more about style than utility. The device also underwent the infamous bend test. Despite Nelson's efforts, bending the Galaxy S25 Ultra proved to be a challenge, indicating robust build quality.
