Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launch Timeline, Expected Price
According to the latest report, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE carries the internal codename "r14", continuing Samsung's naming convention for its FE lineup. The Galaxy S25 FE reportedly used the codename "r13", while the Galaxy S24 FE was internally known as "r12".
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 FE on September 1, although the company has yet to officially confirm the launch date.
As for pricing, the smartphone is tipped to start at EUR 749 (roughly Rs. 82,000) for the 128GB storage variant. While this is expected to be the global pricing, the India price could differ at launch.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Specifications & Features: What to Expect
The Galaxy S26 FE is tipped to retain the 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN3 primary camera from its predecessor. The sensor reportedly features a 1/1.57-inch size, f/1.8 aperture, 24mm equivalent focal length, 1μm pixels, dual-pixel PDAF, and optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The telephoto camera is also expected to remain unchanged, with Samsung likely using the same 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08A1 sensor found on the Galaxy S25 FE. It is said to offer 3x optical zoom, PDAF, OIS, and an f/2.4 aperture.
For the ultrawide and selfie cameras, Samsung is reportedly testing two different 12-megapixel sensors. The company could use either the GalaxyCore GC12A2 or the Sony IMX825, although it remains unclear which sensor will be assigned to each camera. Notably, Samsung previously used the GalaxyCore GC12A2 as the front camera on the Galaxy A37.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to be powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The smartphone is also tipped to ship with Android 17 out of the box.
Other rumoured specifications include a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, an IP68-rated dust and water-resistant build, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.
