Samsung Teases Galaxy S26 Series Cameras

Samsung's new teaser videos are showcasing zoom and low-light video capabilities on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. One teaser focuses on zoom performance, while the other two highlight advancements in low-light video recording.

While Samsung is yet to reveal the specifications of the Galaxy S26 series, reports suggest the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will have a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Both models will also offer a 12MP selfie camera.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP primary rear camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and another 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Upfront, the Ultra model will likely have a 12MP sensor for selfies.

If you see our Galaxy S25 Ultra review, while taking photos in very dark places, we noticed some graininess, especially when using the main camera's high-resolution mode. Last year, Samsung said it had improved low-light photography, but the results weren't always consistent. So, it remains to be seen how the company improves these capabilities in the next Ultra model.

Moreover, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to support 4K video recording at 60fps across all cameras, along with 8K video recording at 30fps using the primary rear camera. The Ultra model is also rumored to support 8K video recording at 30fps using its ultrawide and 5x telephoto cameras.
