Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini leaked in a set of leaked images
According to a new report by Phonearena, a set of purported images of the Samsung Galaxy S6 mini were leaked today. Going by their previous pattern of launching new devices, we were expecting this device to launch sooner or later. The company first started this trend of launched Mini and Neo iteration of their flagship models ever since the Galaxy S3 and there was no reason why they wouldn't launch the same for the S6.
Nevertheless the prototype images suggest that the device will be launched pretty soon. Maybe in IFA Berlin, this September. Just like every previous Mini iteration of Samsung flagships, the S6 mini will carry forward the same external footprint of its mother device. It will have a number of stripped specifications though - but that is expected considering the fact that the device would cost much less.

The dual glass device with metal rim on the side will features a 4.7 inch HD (1280x720) Super AMOLED display. It is a marked demise from the Quad HD (2560x1440) panel on the S6. Under the hood will be Snapdragon 808 hexacore SoC (same as the one inside the LG G4) along with a 2GB of RAM. The bigger brother i.e. the S6 came with an Exynos 7420 SoC and a 3GB of RAM. So far it seems that the device will feature a 15MP camera (I personally doubt the strange resolution) on the rear, albeit without the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
These are still rumours though, and there's no official word regarding the specifications. But one thing is for sure that the S6 mini is coming soon. The pricing is not known of yet. Nevertheless we expect it to be priced under $500.
Do let us know what you think of the device in the comments section below. Would you go for this Samsung S6 look alike device, considering the fact that it is priced lower than the original?
