Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 enterprise editions launched
Samsung launches enterprise edition models of its flagships devices.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is definitely one of the most expensive and premium Android smartphones in the market right now. Even the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ those were launched in March this year are premium but not too expensive as the flagship phablet.
Despite that all these three Samsung devices are useful ones, the company did not come up with the enterprise editions of the same till date. Now, Samsung seems to be all set to target the business users with the Enterprise Edition models of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8. These enterprise editions will offer the same performance and specifications as the standard models but the software is slightly different.
OnePlus' latest Diwali video is as appealing as its flagship smartphone
Firstly, these Samsung smartphones come with a license for three years for Knox Configure and Enterprise Firmware OTA updates. As per Samsung, both the smartphones will get monthly security patches for three years. In addition to this, Samsung seems to have taken the decision to extend the warranty for these enterprise edition devices to three years instead of two.
For now, the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 enterprise edition models are available for sale only in Germany via the retailer Tech Data Mobile. We can expect these devices to be made available in the other countries in Europe in the near future. However, there is no sort of confirmation regarding the same as yet. As it is the European market, the enterprise edition models will be available in the Exynos 8895 SoC variant instead of the Snapdragon 835 SoC variant that is specific to the US market.
