Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ official images, specs, availability details leaked
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ latest leak leaves nothing to imagination.
Samsung's upcoming flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are launching on February 25 and we could just say that there is nothing left to know about these upcoming devices. While we have already witnessed several leaks in the past few days, we have a good idea of what the smartphones are bringing to the table. And just as we say this, a new leak has surfaced online giving away the full details of the Samsung smartphones.
Courtesy of a German website Winfuture.de, the publication has revealed press images, color variants, features and specifications of Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. We now have detailed information about the new phones and there is nothing left to our imagination.
The new Samsung devices will retain most of the design elements from its predecessor and we will be seeing few changes in comparison to its predecessor. However, one thing that we can say is that the highlight of the upcoming Galaxy S9 series will be their cameras and the fingerprint scanner will be placed in a different area.
Coming back to the new leak, Winfuture.de has revealed the following details.
Samsung Galaxy S9
Samsung Galaxy S9 will come with 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with a resolution 1440 x 2960 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC (US variant) and Exynos 9810 processor for other markets. Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which can be further expanded up to 400 GB via microSD card.
Talking about the cameras Galaxy S9 will sport a 12MP rear camera with dual apertures of f/1.5 and f/2.4. It looks like the apertures will be adjustable and the camera should deliver improved performance on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Up front, there will be an 8MP camera. The device will be backed by a 3000 mAh battery and it will run on Android Oreo 8.0.
Samsung Galaxy S9+
Talking about the bigger variant, Samsung Galaxy S9+ will come with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with a resolution 1440 x 2960 pixels and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will also be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC (US variant) or Exynos 9810 processor which will be for other markets. Galaxy S9+ will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 400 GB via microSD card.
Galaxy S9+ will feature a dual-rear camera setup that will consist of a primary 12MP sensor with a dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4) and a secondary sensor which will also be 12MP with f/2.4 aperture. There will be an 8MP sensor on the front.
The device will be backed by a larger 3500 mAh battery and it will also run on Android Oreo 8.0.
Other Features
Other features of the smartphones include IP68 standard, iris scanner sensors, fingerprint reader, face recognition, stereo speakers, Bluetooth5.0 and USB Type C. Dual-SIM variant will be also available as an option. The devices are said to come in Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray color options.
Availability
The publication also notes that the new models will be expensive than before and could be 100 euros more than Galaxy S8 and S8+. Further, the report states that Samsung will begin accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus on February 25 after the launch. Delivery of the new models is expected to start from 8 March 2018.
