Samsung Galaxy S9+ image leaked again ahead of MWC 2018
Earlier the Galaxy S9 duo made a cameo in the Lilac Purple hue and now the Galaxy S9+ has appeared again in a Coral Blue shade.
Samsung will soon be unveiling its much anticipated flagship smartphone - the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The device has been doing rounds in the rumour mill for quite sometime now, churning out new leaks and half baked reports each passing day.
Earlier this week the Galaxy S9 duo made cameo in the Lilac Purple hue and now the Galaxy S9+ has appeared again in a Coral Blue shade. Known tipster Evan Blass, in his latest tweet posted an image of the upcoming smartphone in a new colour. As expected, the Galaxy S9+ makes the display even better than its predecessor.
What to expect
If the rumours are to believed, the Galaxy S9 will sport a 5.8-inch display, while the S9+ will boast a 6.2-inch display. Both smartphones will have same features apart from the camera module. The smaller variant will have only one primary camera, while the bigger variant will flaunt a dual camera setup.
The image also suggests that Samsung will relocate the fingerprint sensor below the camera module to make it easily accessible, unlike the Galaxy S8. This will help users reach the camera easily without accidentally touching the camera lens.
Both smartphone are expected to feature IP68 water and dust resistant certification, which means the smartphone can withstand up to 1.5 meters underwater for up to 30 minutes.
Under the hood
The Galaxy S9, just like previous generations will come in two variants , one a 10nm class Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and Company's own 10nm Exynos 9810 series.
The standard variant will be backed by 4GB of RAM and will have 64GB and 128GB storage option. The bigger variant in turn will boast 6GB of RAM with three storage options (64/128/256GB). There were also reports about a limited edition Galaxy S9+ with 6GB RAM and 512GB.
The Galaxy S9 will draw power from a 3000mAh battery, while a 3500mAh battery will juice the bigger variant.
Optics wise, the S9 might pack a 12MP rear camera, while there will be an 8MP front camera for selfies. Both devices ill come with HD 460 fps (frames per second) slow-motion video capability and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Pricing and availability
Samsung is speculated to launch the Galaxy S9 on February 25, a day ahead of Mobile World Congress 2018. The device is expected to hit the shelves around March this year.
Speaking of the pricing, the device is expected to be priced at KRW950,000 (approx Rs 56,500) and the S9+ might be priced at KRW999,000 (approx Rs 59,414).
Both variants will ship in Midnight Black, Titanium Grey, Lilac Purple and coral Blue options.
