Samsung Galaxy S9+ spotted on AnTuTu with Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM

Samsung is all set to unveil its next generation Galaxy S series smartphones on February 25, just ahead of MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Just like Samsung's all flagships, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are currently talk of the town with new leaks emerging almost every other day. Apart from that, the Galaxy S9 duo has also been making appearances on various benchmarking sites.

Just yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was spotted on Geekbench. The smartphone's bigger sibling, the Galaxy S9+, has now made its way to AnTuTu benchmark with model number SM-G9650. It should be noted that this is the Snapdragon 845-powered variant of the Galaxy S9+. The Snapdragon variant of the smartphone will be launched in markets like the US and China.

On AnTuTu, the Galaxy S9+ has obtained an average benchmarking score of 2,65,257. While the Exynos 9810-powered variant is said to be more powerful, achieving this score is no small feat.

The AnTuTu listing has further revealed some key specs of the Galaxy S9+. As stated, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 pocessor paired with Adreno 630 GPU on top. The memory aspect is taken care of by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space. As for software, the smartphone is shown running on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

As per the AnTuTu listing, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ has a screen resolution of 2,220×1,080 pixels. However, it is most probably the default screen resolution supported by the smartphone's display. Going by previous reports, the smartphone will ship with a 6.2-inch S-AMOLED Infinity Display similar to that of its predecessor.

As far as other specs are concerned, the Galaxy S9+ is said to feature a vertically stacked dual camera setup at the back. While the exact camera configurations are unknown at the moment, the rear camera of the smartphone is likely to have HD 460 fps (frames per second) slow-motion video capability as well as Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

The Galaxy S9+ will have no upgrade over last year's Galaxy S8+ in the battery department. It is said to retain the same 3,500mAh battery with wireless charging support. Lastly, the smartphone is expected to carry IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
