Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Z Flip 7 Could Be the First Foldables to Use Exynos Chips
Samsung is expected to launch the next-gen Galaxy Z Flip 7 next year, which will succeed the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Alongside, the South Korean tech giant is reportedly working on a more budget-friendly option, dubbed the Galaxy Z Flip FE.
This move marks a significant development as it will be the first time Samsung introduces a fan edition (FE) to its foldable lineup. Now, a new leak suggests both foldable phones could be the first to use in-house Exynos chips instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips.

Samsung's Next-gen Foldables Could Be the First to Use Exynos Chips
According to tipster Jukanlosreve, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the Exynos 2500 SoC, while the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to come with the Exynos 2400e processor, available in the Galaxy S24 FE. However, the tipster has not mentioned anything about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. So it remains to be seen if this model will still use the Snapdragon processor like its precursor.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE and Galaxy Z Flip 7: What to Expect?
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE aims to make innovative foldable technology more accessible to a broader audience by offering a more affordable price point. Features of both the Galaxy Z Flip FE and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 are still unknown at this moment.
However, the new FE flip model is rumoured to follow the same design seen in previous Z Flip models. This suggests a continuation of the sleek and compact design which has characterized the Z Flip series.
As far as the launch is concerned, Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 series at a Galaxy Unpacked event on January 23, 2025, which will be held in San Franciso, USA. However, there's no information on whether the brand will launch the foldable models at the same event.
