Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE May Feature an Older Exynos Chip: Report
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE has been the talk of the town for several days. While there's no official confirmation on its features, leaks and rumours have given us a glimpse of what to expect.
Now, the latest development suggests that the budget-friendly foldable may not feature the Exynos 2500 chip as previously speculated. Instead, it could be powered by the Exynos 2400e.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE Processor (Expected)
Code analysis from reliable sources points to a Samsung device with the codename "B7R", which appears to use the S5e9945 processor-corresponding to the Exynos 2400/2400e. The Exynos 2400 debuted in late 2023 and was used in the Galaxy S24 and S25 Plus variants. Meanwhile, the Exynos 2400e is a slightly lower-clocked version, which powers the Galaxy S24 FE, launched in October 2024.
A rumor also suggests the Exynos 2400e in the Flip FE might feature IPoP (Integrated Package on Package) packaging. Moreover, Samsung is reportedly considering delaying the Flip FE's launch by a few months to equip it with the Exynos 2500 instead, originally intended for the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, due to production challenges in stabilizing 3nm manufacturing yields, Samsung might stick with the Exynos 2400e to ensure a more stable release.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE: What We Know So Far
The Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to feature a durable Armor Aluminum Frame with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It may support 25W fast charging and come with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The device is rumored to retain the ultra-thin glass (UTG) and hinge mechanism from the Galaxy Z Flip 6, ensuring a smooth folding experience. It may boast a 120Hz display with a peak brightness of 2600 nits, though real-world tests suggest a typical brightness of 1900 nits. For photography, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is tipped to feature a 50MP main camera, which could mark an improvement over previous models.
While Samsung has yet to confirm these details, the leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could be an exciting, more affordable entry into the foldable phone market. Stay tuned for official announcements!
