A Slimmer Version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Could be in the Works: But There’s a Catch!

Samsung appears to be gearing up to unveil several new Galaxy devices next month during its speculated Galaxy Unpacked event. Among the anticipated launches are the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Ring alongside new wearables and earbuds.

Over recent months, rumors about another foldable model, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, have circulated, and now a tipster has leaked its supposed launch timeline. Tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will debut in October, a few months after the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

A Slimmer Galaxy Z Fold Incoming?

It is expected to be released in China under the Galaxy W25 name. However, the post on X does not clarify if this timeline applies to other global regions. The new foldable phone is rumored to be lighter, thinner, and larger than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, potentially featuring a titanium frame but lacking S Pen support.

Last month, Ross Young, Co-Founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), hinted that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim would be larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. He suggested it might launch in the fourth quarter (October-December) of this year and could be priced similarly to the standard version.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: What to Expect?

The rumored specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 have also surfaced. The device is expected to feature a titanium frame, a 7.6-inch inner screen, and a 6.3-inch cover display. It might run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and offer storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is also believed to have a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. Additionally, it could sport a 10-megapixel cover display camera and a 4-megapixel under-display camera. The device is likely to be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with a 25W charging speed.

Expectations Are at An All-Time High!

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is rumored to take place on July 10, where the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Galaxy Ring are expected to be unveiled. As always, these speculations should be taken with caution until official announcements are made.
