Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Full Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch: Major Price Hike Expected

Samsung is gearing up to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphones at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event later this month. While the spotlight is expected to be on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, leaks continue to reveal what the company has in store.

The latest comes from tipster Ahmed Qwaider, who has shared the purported complete specifications of the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8. The upcoming foldable is tipped to feature a lighter design, flagship Snapdragon silicon, upgraded charging, and refined cameras, making it one of Samsung's biggest foldable upgrades in recent years.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Specifications (Expected)

According to the tipster, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a 7.6-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is said to measure 5.5 inches, offering QHD+ resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Samsung is also expected to reduce the device's weight significantly. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is tipped to measure 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.5mm when unfolded and 123.9 x 81.9 x 9.7mm when folded, while weighing just 201g. If true, it would be around 14g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Under the hood, the foldable is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, built on TSMC's 3nm process. The device is tipped to pair the flagship processor with 12GB of RAM and offer 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could feature a dual rear camera system comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/1.9 aperture. Selfies and video calls are expected to be handled by a 10-megapixel cover camera and another 10-megapixel under-display camera on the main screen.

The handset is also tipped to pack a 4,800mAh battery with support for Super Fast Charging 2.0 and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0. Previous reports have suggested Samsung could finally upgrade wired charging to 45W, replacing the 25W charging standard used on the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
