Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra Reportedly Not Launching at Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Event

Samsung is all set for the Galaxy Unpacked 2024, which is scheduled for today (July 10) at 6:30 PM IST. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil next-gen foldable phones, the new Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Ring, and more.

The brand was also rumoured to launch a slimmer version of the Galaxy Z Fold6 named the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra/Slim. Now, the latest information suggests this model is not launching at today's event.

A WinFuture report states that ''Samsung has temporarily put the launch of this version of the Z Fold6, which is said to have a slightly larger display and a thinner design, on hold. ''

The smartphone was previously expected to come with the model number SM-F958. While the smartphone was rumoured to come with a slim design, it was expected to feature a larger screen. Earlier a report claimed the phone will feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an 8-inch internal screen.

The publication further suggests competitive pressure from other brands might influence Samsung's decision. As the upcoming Honor Magic V3 is expected to come with a modern design compared to Samsung's foldable phones.

There are ongoing internal discussions at Samsung about whether to revive the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra project. Although initially cancelled, the company might reconsider later due to competitive pressures and market dynamics. As of now, the brand is launching the Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Galaxy Z Flip6 at today's event.

Alongside, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Buds 3, Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, and Galaxy Ring at today's unpacked event.
