Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Specifications and Features
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is Samsung's lightest book-style foldable yet, weighing 201g. It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and unfolds into a 7.6-inch AMOLED main display, also supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung says the new display ratios are designed to improve reading, gaming, streaming, and everyday browsing.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4,800mAh battery. Samsung has also introduced its new Flex Titanium display structure, promising better durability, smoother unfolding, and reduced crease visibility. The display further supports up to 3,000 nits peak brightness with Vision Booster and an anti-reflective finish.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold8 features dual 50MP rear cameras for wide and ultra-wide photography, alongside a 10MP cover selfie camera and a 10MP internal camera. Samsung has also added features like Dual Recording and My FanCam for easier content creation.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Specifications and Features
Positioned as Samsung's most premium foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra offers an 8-inch AMOLED internal display and a 6.5-inch AMOLED cover display, both with adaptive 120Hz refresh rates. Despite the larger display, Samsung has kept the device slim at 4.1mm unfolded, while the weight comes in at 215g.
The Fold8 Ultra is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It houses a larger 5,000mAh battery with a new dual-path 45W fast charging architecture and an upgraded graphite cooling system for sustained performance.

The biggest highlight is its camera setup. Samsung has equipped the Fold8 Ultra with a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto camera. The company has also introduced HDR support in 200MP mode, improved Nightography, 8K video recording with the new APV codec, and Cine LUT support for advanced creators.
Galaxy AI and One UI 9
Both foldables ship with Android 17-based One UI 9 and bring Samsung's latest Galaxy AI experience. New AI features include Now Brief, Now Nudge, Gemini Intelligence, and Gemini Notebook, enabling cross-app automation, AI-powered summaries, and persistent workspaces.
Samsung has also introduced an AI Assistant Activity dashboard, improved privacy controls, and stronger Knox-powered security for AI data processing.
While the Fold8 focuses on delivering a lighter, more accessible foldable experience, the Fold8 Ultra brings flagship cameras, a larger battery, and creator-centric features to compete at the very top of the foldable market.
