Samsung India now sends out Galaxy S8 and S8+ press invites: Launch confirmed
Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ India launch invites arrive.
Samsung recently confirmed the launch dates for its flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ via its official India Twitter handle. The tweet at the time read: "India, get ready to #UnboxYourPhone! Samsung #GalaxyS8#GalaxyS8Plus, India launch on 19th April 2017."
As the company confirmed that the two flagships would be hitting the Indian shores on Wednesday, April 19, now Samsung India has started sending invites for the launch event. However, this time on the press invite the company has given the time as well. Basically, the event will be kicking off at 12 PM IST.

However, Samsung India has not revealed the details of the price at which the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones will be available in the Indian market. Some rumors have suggested that the devices might be priced pretty much similar to the one at the official launch. The Samsung Galaxy S8 was launched at a price of $720 (Rs 46,753), while S8+ was announced at $840 (Rs 54,545). So Indian pricing of the devices could be similar to this.
In any case, April 19 seems to be an interesting day as the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi has also confirmed the launch of its flagship Mi 6 on the same day. If rumors are to be believed then the company is also expected to announce Mi Max 2, alongside the Mi 6. So better mark your calendars as it is is going to be a showdown of smartphone launches this coming week.
