Samsung is making an Exynos 8870 chipset to be used by other Smartphone brands
Samsung's home grown Exynos chipset has been recently used in several Samsung Smartphones. The Samsung Exynos 7420 has been used in Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The Exynos 7420 chipset has also been used in the Meizu Pro 5. Samsung is relatively novice to the chipsets that are still ruled by the likes of Qualcomm, Snapdragon and MediaTek. It is rumored that Samsung could produce a separate high-end chipset that could be used by other smartphone manufacturers.

The Exynos 8890 is expected to be the chipset that could come from Samsung used in high-end smartphones manufactured by other brands. The Exynos 8870 could be another chipset that offers lower clock speeds when compared to Exynos 8870. Some of the Exynos chipsets have broken records on GeekBench as well as AnTuTu benchmarks.
Meizu seems to be a prospective client for the Samsung Exynos 8870 SoC. If this turns out to be true then, the MeizuPro 6 and Meizu Pro 6 mini by the second quarter of next year. While this appears too good to be true, possibilities can't be ruled out.
