Samsung Is Offering Free Screen Replacement for Select Devices Affected by Green Line Issue
Since last year, Samsung has been offering display replacements for green line issues of its S-series devices in India. Initially, the one-time screen replacement program was limited to the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Note 20 series.
Now, the company is expanding this screen replacement to more smartphones. Check here for all Samsung devices that are applicable for free screen replacement.

Eligible Samsung Models for Free Screen Replacement
- Samsung Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Note 20 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S21 (SM-G991B)
- Samsung Galaxy S21+ (SM-G996B)
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (SM-G998B)
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908E)
This green line issue was reported to appear on Super AMOLED displays. The tech giant has been offering free display replacements since July last year but it is extending the free replacement offer to more devices after the same issue appears.
Now, the list of eligible devices for free screen replacement includes - the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S21, and the Galaxy S22 series. However, customers who purchased the mentioned device within the last three years will only be avail of free screen replacement.
If you are facing the same issue book an appointment at the nearest Samsung service centre by 30th April, 2024. Along with the display, the device will get a free battery replacement.
Notably, Samsung will also consider the green line issue even if your warranty has expired. However, the device should not have any physical or water damage to avail of the offer. As of now, there is no information on whether the screen replacement policy will be applicable to Galaxy phone users in other regions outside India.
This green line problem is not only seen in Samsung devices, OnePlus phones also have the same problem. The brand has been offering free screen replacements for affected OnePlus devices since last year.
