Samsung Launches Tizen Powered Z3 Smartphone with 5-inch Display, Quad-Core CPU at Rs 8,490
Today, the South Korean handset maker Samsung has launched the successor of Z2 smartphone at an event in New Delhi. Dubbed as Z3, this device comes under the mid-range segment and powered by Samsung's home-baked Tizen OS.
For uninformed, Samsung previously ran 'Bada' OS, which did not see much success. Since then, its has merged with the Tizen platform, which is backed by chipmaker Intel. The OS was originally scheduled to debut in 2012, but it ended up being delayed for 2 years.

Further, the company tried to launch the TizenOS in Japan, France, Russia and ended up in the Indian market with Samsung Z1 smartphone at a price of Rs. 5,700.
Moving on, the Samsung Z3 sports a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 × 720 pixels. It is clocked at 1.3 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor along with 1GB RAM under the hood.
The Samsung Z3 is employed with 8GB of built-in memory, with an expansion option up to 128GB via microSD card slot. Talking about the software, this device is shipped with Tizen OS 2.3 out of the box.
Moreover, this dual SIM mobile features 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, 5MP front-facing camera, 120-degree wide selfie mode on board. On the connectivity, it supports usual options including 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS.

The whole Z3 hardware is juiced by a 2600mAh battery on back. Meanwhile, the Samsung Z3 comes in Gold, Black, Silver color variants at a price of Rs. 8,490.
Anyhow, it will be available in both offline channel and online channel (exclusively on Snapdeal) starting from October 21. Customers with Vodafone network will get free data of 1GB for 2 months.
