Samsung unveils Galaxy A6 and A6+ on its Indonesia website
Here's how the Galaxy A6 and A6+ would shape up.
Samsung Galaxy A series has always been known for offering good quality at a reasonable price, and now the company through its Indonesia website gave us a peek into how the new two phones - the Galaxy A6 and A6+ will shape up.
Looking at the pictures, the overall design of the phone looks similar to one another. Both devices pack 18.5:9 Infinity Displays with slim bezels. The A6 sports a 5.6-inch display with a 1480 x 720 pixel resolution, while the A6+ has a 6-inch with a resolution of 2200 x 1080 pixels. Both smartphones come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, face recognition, and support for Bixby Home and Bixby Vision, but misses out on Bixby Voice. The are powered by an octa-core processor (unspecified) and "breathtaking surround sound."
On the photography front, the A6 comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera and a 16MP front facing camera. It has an expandable memory up to 256GB, 3GB RAM and draws power from a 3000mAh battery. In turn, the A6+ has a dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera, while there is a 24MP front facing snapper. It has an expandable memory up to 400GB, 4GB of RAM and a battery reservoir of 3500mAh.
Samsung is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the Galaxy A6 and A6+, but since the devices have already been listed on the website, it shouldn't be long before the official announcement. There is no confirmation on when we can expect the device to hit the sub continent shores. But, since India is a major market for Samsung, we might see the device soon.
Besides, Samsung also regained the top spot in the premium smartphone segment after the launch of its flagship Galaxy S9 and S9+, reports Counterpoint.
The report said that the top three brands Samsung, OnePlus and Apple contributed to 95 percent of the overall premium and Samsung captured half of the premium segment with 16 percent YoY growth, driven by the strong initial demand of its new flagships S9, S9 Plus and online exclusive Galaxy A8 plus. S9 series promotions were strong both in offline and online channels with offers ranging from cashback ($100), exchange ($150), upgrade & data bundling plans across all major operators, the firm further added.
