Samsung’s Next Foldable Smartphone Renders Leaked, This Is What The Phone May Look Like

Samsung is gearing up to launch a new foldable smartphone in China, and fresh leaks have now given us a closer look at the device. The phone that we are referring to here is the Samsung W27, which is set to debut on October 29 as the latest member of the company's W series.

The W series smartphones are essentially premium, China-exclusive versions of Samsung's latest book-style foldables. This year, the W27 is expected to be based on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, but with a fancier design and gold accents. Here is what we know so far.

Samsung W27: Design and expected features

A few days ago, a leaked image gave us our first look at the Samsung W27. Now, renowned tipster Evan Blass has shared new renders of the upcoming foldable, showing the smartphone from multiple angles.

The renders reveal a dark blue finish with gold accents, giving the device a more premium look. The Samsung W27 appears to feature the same camera island as the Galaxy Z Fold8, which is not surprising considering the two devices are expected to share their hardware.

However, the W27 gets a signature gold W series logo near the bottom of its rear panel. This small addition helps set it apart from the standard Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

Speaking of specifications, previous rumours suggest that the Samsung W27 will be identical to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. The company is also expected to offer the foldable in a single configuration, with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. This would follow the approach Samsung has taken with previous W series devices.

Samsung W27 launch date and expected price

Samsung has already confirmed that the W27 will launch in China on October 29. The smartphone is expected to be a premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, which means it could carry a hefty price tag.

The expected 16GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration could also add to the cost. However, Samsung has not revealed the price or confirmed the specifications of the W27 yet.
