Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launched in India starting at Rs 53,990: To go on sale from the 20th
Samsung today finally launched their Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India. The device previously unveiled at the Unpacked 2015 event alongside the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has been priced in India at Rs 53,990 (starting).
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has already been unveiled in India at a price of Rs 57,900 last month. It packs a 5.7 inch QHD (2560x1440) SUPER AMOLED display and is powered by the octacore Exynos 7420 SoC (Quad Core 2.1 GHZ + Quad Core 1.5GHz). For optics the devices boasts of a 16MP f1.9 aperture camera along with LED Flash and OIS. There's also a 5MP snapper for selfies.

The Note5 too features most of the specs as the Galaxy S6 Edge+ except for a few. The major difference being the lack of a dual edged 5.7 inch display and the presence of S-Pen. The S-Pen of this new gen Note5 has been improved to a great extent. Now on pulling out the S-Pen, the Air Command app opens instantaneously. The app comes with support for Actin Memo, Smart Select, Screen White and a lot more. One can also build three of their favourite app shortcut with the Air Command pop up menu.
In terms of security the Note5 comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the Home Button. Further the battery inside is a large 3000mAh unit, which comes with both Fast Charging and Samsung Wireless Charging Support. The company claims a charging time of approximately 90 minutes using a Wired Fast Charging and 120 minutes via Samsung Wireless Charger.

Rest of the specs include a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED curved dual edge display with 518ppi, octa core Exynos 7420 SoC, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage. Camera consists of a 16MP f1.9 aperuture OIS shooter along with a 5MP front snapper. The various sensors present in the device include a Heart Rate and Fingerprint Sensor.
The Samsung Note5 will be available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors and is priced at Rs 53,990 (32GB) and Rs 59,900 (64GB). The device will go on sale from 20th of September.
