The name of the smartphone indicates towards the dual-SIM capabilities, with the FCC directly referring to it as a 'mobile phone' with Bluetooth, NFC, FM and Radio. Inclusion of NFC indicates that this might not be an entry level phone, as not many mid-range devices allow for this feature. Though it's still unclear what the price of the device would be.

While many claim that the SM-G885/DS is the Galaxy S9 Mini, Samsung itself has dropped the idea of mid-range revisions of the flagship years ago. Though one of the Galaxy S9 Mini variants known as the SM-G8750 is expected to launch in China as the Galaxy Dream Lite.
The "F" in its identifier indicates that the SM-G885/DS is an international version of Samsung's forthcoming mobile products. This also means that the device will come equipped with Exynos 7 Octa 7885, the same processor used in the Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus launched in 2017.

Moreover, the Galaxy Note 9 has been certified by the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT). The information is based on two model numbers associated with the listing - specifically, SM-N9500 and SM-N9508.

Both these model numbers are listed as mobile phones, with the first being approved on March 21, while the latter got approved on April 24. Also, both the handsets are likely the Chinese variants of the device. The listed frequency band also seem to indicate that the handset is intended for the Chinese market, although some international bands also appear to be supported. Lately, lot of speculations have been doing rounds surrounding the device.

The company also unveiled its Galaxy A6 and A6+ on its Indonesia website. The overall design of the phone looks similar to one another. Both devices pack 18.5:9 Infinity Displays with slim bezels. The A6 sports a 5.6-inch display with a 1480 x 720 pixel resolution, while the A6+ has a 6-inch with a resolution of 2200 x 1080 pixels. Both smartphones come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, face recognition, and support for Bixby Home and Bixby Vision, but misses out on Bixby Voice. The are powered by an octa-core processor (unspecified) and "breathtaking surround sound."
