Samsung to Begin Stable One UI 7 Rollout on April 7: What’s New and Which Galaxy Devices Are Eligible?
Samsung is all set to roll out One UI 7 starting April 7, bringing a refreshed interface and deeper AI integration to Galaxy devices. The update, based on Android 15, focuses on personalization, usability, and smarter interactions, making everyday tasks more seamless.
If you’ve been waiting for this update, here’s a look at what’s new and which devices will get it first.

A cleaner, more personalized design
Samsung has given One UI 7 a refined look with an emphasis on simplicity and ease of use. The home screen has been cleaned up to feel more streamlined, widgets have been redesigned for a more modern appearance, and the lock screen now offers new ways to customize its layout.
A new feature called the Now Bar is one of the biggest design changes. It works like a smart notification panel that updates in real-time, letting users see details like music playback, ride status, or delivery updates without unlocking their phone. Inspired by Apple’s Live Activities, the Now Bar makes checking updates much faster and more convenient.
One UI 7: AI-powered tools
Samsung is doubling down on AI with One UI 7, introducing several new tools that make everyday interactions smoother and more creative.
- AI Select allows users to quickly extract parts of a video and turn them into a GIF with just a few taps.
- Writing Assist helps with formatting and summarizing text, making it useful for emails, notes, or messages.
- Drawing Assist transforms rough sketches into polished images, offering creative control with text and image-based inputs.
- Audio Eraser can remove background noise from videos, making recorded content sound clearer.
Additionally, Samsung is integrating Google Gemini for a more intelligent voice assistant experience. By long-pressing the side button, users can ask for personalized recommendations like, “Find Italian, pet-friendly restaurants with outdoor seating nearby,” and get instant results.
Another improvement comes in the Settings menu. Users can now use natural language searches like, “My eyes feel tired,” and the system will suggest relevant options such as lowering brightness or turning on Eye Comfort Shield.
Which devices will get One UI 7 first?
Samsung is rolling out the update in phases, starting with its newest flagship devices before expanding to older models.
