Samsung To Discontinue Galaxy S25 Edge Amid Low Sales: What to Expect From Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge, launched earlier this year, might be the last of its kind. Recent reports from South Korea suggest that Samsung has no plans to release a Galaxy S26 Edge next year. This decision follows disappointing production and sales figures for the S25 Edge, with only 300,000 units expected between September and December.

Samsung's Future Plans for Galaxy Series

Despite discontinuing the Edge lineup, Samsung remains committed to its flagship series. The company will continue with the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra models. According to Sammobile, the entry-level model will retain the name Galaxy S26 instead of being rebranded as the Galaxy S26 Pro.

Rumours indicate that the upcoming Galaxy S26 will feature a 4300mAh battery, an upgrade from the S25's 4000mAh capacity. The camera setup is expected to remain similar to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to maintain its 5000mAh battery.

Processor Variants for Different Markets

The new series may come with different processors depending on the market. The Exynos 2600 chip and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 are speculated for the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus models. However, all markets will receive the Snapdragon chip for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.\
