Samsung is preparing to introduce its latest Galaxy foldable devices at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event. Among the anticipated releases are the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip FE. However, a new tri-fold foldable phone, potentially named the Galaxy G Fold, is also expected to make its debut.

The animations from One UI 8, spotted by Android Authority, have provided a glimpse into the design of this innovative device. The tri-fold smartphone features two inward-folding hinges, creating a G-shaped fold. This design contrasts with HUAWEI's Mate XT, which uses an S-shaped fold with one hinge folding outward.

The animation reveals that Samsung's tri-fold flagship will likely consist of three rear panels. The left-most panel is expected to house a triple rear camera setup similar to current Galaxy Z Fold models. The middle panel will likely contain the cover display and front-facing camera for use when folded.

Interestingly, the right-most panel appears to lack bezels, suggesting it might not be a display but just a blank panel. This design choice aligns with Samsung Display's Flex G prototypes and aims to provide a seamless folding experience without stressing or damaging the display.
