Some Google Pixel 3 Users Report Auto Shutdown Issue
Of late, reports regarding Google Pixel 3 early shutdown have started making rounds on the online forums. As per these reports, several users of the smartphone are facing the issue wherein the Pixel 3 suddenly loses charge and drops to zero as soon as the battery percentage goes below 30%.

Some users of the smartphone who are facing this issue have noticed that their device sometimes shuts down directly. However, this does not seem to be a widespread issue as only for a few Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL users have reported the same for now. But it is something similar to the battery and shutdown issue faced by the Nexus 6P users.
Google Pixel 3 Shut Down Issue
Talking about the issue reported by some users of Google Pixel 3, it happens mostly when the battery life is between 20% and 30%. The first report regarding the same appeared in April this year. Since then, several users have started bringing this issue into the limelight. Now, more users seem to have a similar battery issue with the Pixel 3 smartphones.
As per Google Support via Android Police, one user claims that the battery percentage would go down to 0% in just a few seconds as soon as the battery level drops to 15%. The user has also uploaded a video showing how the battery drops from 9% to 0% in a few seconds. Notably, it has been pointed out that the issue also persists in the Safe Mode.
Some users have noted that they are facing the same issue even after getting the replacement done. As of now, Google has not revealed what exactly the issue is and has been asking users to do a factory reset to fix the problem. Of course, it might not want to schedule another lawsuit as it did with the Nexus 6P auto shutdown issue.
What Should You Do?
If you have a Google Pixel 3 and you are facing this auto shutdown issue, then you need to understand that it is common for smartphone batteries to die after a while. So in this case, Pixel 3 is a year old and the chances for the battery failure are low. To resolve the issue, it is better to approach Google's Support team to find a fix.
