According to a new report, Sony will unveil its 2018 flagships at MWC (Mobile World Congress) that is slated to take place in Barcelona between February 26 to March 1. The report further reveals that Sony plans to showcase the following smartphones at the MWC: Xperia XZ1 Premium, Xperia XZ1 Plus, and Xperia XZ1s. All the devices will bring upgrades over Sony's high-end models of 2018. As suggested by the name, the Xperia XZ1 Premium should be the direct successor to last year's Xperia XZ Premium with the most advanced specifications and features.

Detailing on the specs of the XZ1 Premium, the smartphone is said to come with a 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 2,160×3,840 pixels (4K). Under the hood, it will probably be powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 845. In the memory department, the handset is likely to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space.

What's more, the Xperia XZ1 Premium is reportedly fitted with a 12MP dual rear camera setup as well as a 13MP selfie camera, and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Aesthetically speaking, the smartphone is expected to sport a full-screen design with minimal bezels around its display.

Coming to the other two Sony smartphones, the Xperia XZ1 Plus and Xperia XZ1s are also rumored to feature rear-mounted fingerprint scanners and dual 12MP cameras at the rear and 13MP selfie camera.

The Xperia XZ1 Plus reportedly features a 5.5-inch display with the screen resolution density of1080p. Just like the Xperia XZ1 Premium, the Xperia XZ1 Plus is said to be driven by a Snapdragon 845 processor as well.

The Sony Xperia XZ1s, on the other hand, is likely to be fitted with a smaller 5.2-inch screen with the resolution density of 1080p. At the heart of the device, there is said to be a Snapdragon 835 processor.

Both the models are expected to carry 4GB of RAM and 64GB of default storage capacity.

If you recall, a few days back we came across alleged renders of the upcoming high-end Sony smartphones. The images showed the handsets featuring really narrow bezels, indicating the Japanese company is finally catching the bezel-less train.
