Sony Xperia 10 VIII Launched with 120Hz OLED Display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Chip, 3.5mm Jack, Translucent Design

Sony has expanded its Xperia 10 lineup with the new Xperia 10 VIII, a mid-range 5G smartphone focused on long battery life, a brighter display and practical features. The latest Xperia 10 series model brings a 120Hz OLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, upgraded stereo speakers and expandable storage.

It also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that has become increasingly uncommon in this segment. Sony is additionally promising four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, making long-term software support another key highlight of the phone.

Sony Xperia 10 VIII Price and Availability

The Sony Xperia 10 VIII is priced at EUR 599, which is around Rs 66,850, while its UK price is set at GBP 549, approximately Rs 71,650. Sony has not yet announced the phone's India price or availability.

The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale across Europe and the UK from mid to late September. It will be available in Frozen White, Frosted Grey and Misty Lilac colour options.

Sony Xperia 10 VIII Features and Specifications

The Xperia 10 VIII sports a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Sony claims the panel is around 50 percent brighter than its predecessor and supports 10-bit tonal gradation, 97 percent DCI-P3 coverage and Triluminos display tuning. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 5G chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Virtual RAM support can add up to 6GB, while storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card.

For optics, the Xperia 10 VIII features a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with a 1/1.56-inch Exmor RS sensor, f/1.9 aperture and hybrid OIS/EIS stabilisation. It is paired with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view. An 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 30W USB Power Delivery charging. Sony claims up to two days of battery life, while Battery Care, Adaptive Charging and STAMINA Mode are designed to reduce battery degradation.

Other features include front-facing stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and IP65/IP68 dust and water resistance. The phone weighs 168g and measures 153 x 72 x 8.3mm. It runs Android 15 and is promised four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
