Sony Xperia Event: Expected Launch

As noted, Sony is expected to launch the Xperia 1 VII, which will succeed last year's Xperia 1 VI. While there is no official word regarding its specifications, live images of the phone were spotted on Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) website, revealing its design and colour options.

The handset is tipped to come in black, navy green, and purple colour options. In terms of design, the Xperia 1 VII may have an identical design language to its predecessor, with only minor changes. It continues to feature a triple rear camera setup arranged vertically on the back panel. However, the camera bump appears to be more pronounced this time.

The main camera of the phone will be located centrally and will feature an Exmor-T sensor. In terms of size, the Xperia 1 VII is anticipated to measure 165mm in height and 74mm in width. Moreover, the phone is expected to come with a 6.5-inch display and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chipset.
