In its endeavor to cater to selfie lovers, Sony India today launched its premium smartphone, the Xperia L2. A brand new addition to Xperia family, the new Sony Xperia L2 is priced at Rs. 19,990 and it comes in Black and Gold color options. The Sony Xperia L2 will be available for sale starting today at retail stores.

Display, Processors, RAM and Storage

Sony Xperia L2 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. As per the company, the display delivers vivid color output and detailed images to deliver crisp and sharp viewing experience which is ideal for enjoying videos, browsing content and enjoying social networks on the go. Sony craftsmanship is clear to see astonishing brightness, color, clarity, and contrast that are realized to create levels of realism you almost feel part of the scene that you watch.

The phone is powered by 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor with Mali T720-MP2 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.

The Sony Xperia L2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed up by 3300mAh battery. Additionally, the smartphones feature a Stamina Mode that extends the battery life just when users really need it.

The handset also comes with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology and Battery Care feature that further works together to maintain the long-term health of the battery by monitoring its health, adjusting the charging current accordingly to avoid damage and also maximizing its lifespan.

For the camera department, it boasts 13-megapixel rear camera with f2.0. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel120-degree Super-Wide angle Selfie camera. As per the company, Xperia L2 lets you toggle between Portrait Selfie mode and Group Selfie mode, Portrait mode for great results of personal selfies and Group selfie mode to fit in all your friends in a single click.

"This superior camera combination on Xperia L2 gives users access to a powerful blend of superior low light quality imaging and accurate focusing speed, therefore, resulting in better and brighter pictures," Sony has said it its media release.

Other Features

The connectivity features are 4G LTE with the Cat13/12 band, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C port, FM radio and 3.5 mm headphone jack. The handset comes with a rear fingerprint sensor and the company claims that it is intuitively placed on the phone so that users are able to pick up and securely unlock the smartphone in a single movement. Apart from that, the smartphone measures 150 x 78 x 9.8mm and it weighs 178 grams.
