Sony Xperia X Performance Receives Android Nougat Sweetness

The first Sony handset to receive Android Nougat update.


Sony Mobile, today started rolling out the Android Nougat update to Sony Xperia X Performance. Back in September, Sony shared their update rollout map and at that map confirmed that the Xperia X Performance and the latest Xperia XZ will receive the update first.

According to Xperia Blog, the update firmware has a build number 39.2.A.0.327 is currently rolling to X Performance with model number- F8131 and F8132. The blog further states that the update is rolling out in specific countries and it may take some time to reach your region.

Apart from the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ, other devices which will be updated to Android Nougat are Xperia Z5 series, Xperia Z3+, and Xperia Z4 Tablet. In early 2017, the new Xperia X series will be updated to the latest OS.

Speaking about the specifications of the Xperia X Performance, the smartphone comes with a 5-inch 1080p display. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and is aided with 3GB of RAM. A 23MP camera with f/2.0 aperture can be seen on the rear along with a 13MP front-facing camera.

The Sony Xperia X Performance boots Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box and is armed with a 2700mAh battery.
