Sony is gearing up for the IFA 2017 press conference which has been scheduled for August 31. The good news though is that the Japanese smartphone manufacturer is expected to unveil the Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact smartphones during the same event.
However, just before the launch, both the devices have been leaked in several occasions and there have also been a lot of rumors surrounding the two devices. And yet again, today a credible source has leaked the pricing details of the upcoming Sony smartphones.
Well, reputed tipster Roland Quandt has revealed the price tags for the handsets through his Twitter handle. As per his tweet, Sony Xperia XZ1 will cost £599 (approximately Rs. 49,204), while the Compact variant will seemingly come at £499 (approximately Rs. 40,989).
The leakster has also shared Amazon listing links for the phones, but at the time of writing this article, the webpage has not gone live still.
In any case, the smartphones have been leaked previously and here are some of the expected specifications of the two smartphones. Firstly, talking about the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, it is believed to come with a 4.6-inch HD 720p display and be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC which should be further paired with 4GB RAM. The smartphone is said to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will likely be backed by a 2600mAh battery.
As for Xperia XZ1, the smartphone is expected to arrive with a Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space. The display is said to be a 5.2-inch panel (could feature FHD 1080p resolution) and support for HDR. The device is believed to have a 13MP selfie camera and a 19MP MotionEye camera with 960fps recording capability. The smartphone could also come with IP68 or IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
While these are just leaks and rumors, we will have to wait for only a few more days until the company announces the devices officially. We will have all the details about the smartphones then.
