Sony has announced three new flagship smartphone at the IFA 2015 in Berlin. The regular Xperia Z5, the smaller version Xperai Z5 Compact and the higher-end Xperia Z5 Premium, which is the world's first smartphone with 4K display.

All three smartphones are designed by leading creatives at Sony's Creative Center studios in Sweden and Japan. Design
Both Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Premium smartphones flaunts the company's OmniBalance design and have similar design form, with a metal frame and glass front and back. Both smartphones are IP65/68 rating making it waterproof.
Externally both smartphone are same apart from the size. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium measures 154.4 x 75.8 x 7.8mm, while the Xperia Z5 measures 146 x 72 x 7.3mm.
Display
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is the world's fist smartphone featuring a 4K resolution display. It comes with a 5.5 inch display at 3840x2160 pixels resolution, that translates to 801ppi pixel density. While, the Xperia Z5 comes with a slightly smaller 5.2 inch display at 1920x1080 pixels resolution with 428ppi pixel density.
Both smartphones display use the same LCD IPS display technology and comes with Sony's X-Reality technology. Well the 4K resolution display of Xperia Z5 Premium is excellent and sharper.
Under The Hood
Both smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM. The company has made some improvements in the processing power. Sony has integrated memory in the display to cut power to the CPU once the image is show, to reduce battery drain and heavy usage of processor.
Both Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Storage
Both smartphones comes with 32GB of built in storage and also comes with an option to expand the storage.
Camera
The Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Premium flaunts a 23 megapixel primary camera, offering a Hybrid auto-focus, that can focus in less than a second. Both smartphones are capable of capturing in 4K resolution. There is also a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.
Battery
The Xperia Z5 is packed with 2900mAh battery with Battery STAMINA mode, while the Xperia Z5 Premium is packed with 3430mAh battery and also comes with with Battery STAMINA mode. The company claims that both smartphones can juice up the device up to two days of battery life.
Verdict
Both smartphones have their own advantages, well the display Xperia Z5 Premium model is un-matchable with other smartphones that we see out in the market. Well, both have the same user interface and the same capabilities that can operate like PS4 Remote Play and support for high resolution audio.
