Spice XLife 511 Pro Smartphone with 5-Inch Display Launched At Rs 4,989
Spice Mobiles added a new budget device to their portfolio today in the form of X511 Pro. Priced at Rs 4789 the Spice X511 Pro falls in direct competition with YU YUNIQUE.
The device comes with a 1.2GHz Quad core SoC and 1GB of RAM. The GPU used on the inside is a Mali 400 GPU. This has rather become a standard for most budget devices of present date.
The optics are handled by a 8MP AF camera with a LeD flash and a 3.2MP from facing Selfie snapper. These are quite impressive specs for the prices. Most smartphones from local OEM like Lava, Micromax come with 5MP and 2MP cameras respectively.
However the YU YUNIQUE does comes with a 8MP unit on the back, but the front camera is lower in terms of resolution at 2MP.

The Spice X511 Pro comes with 8GB of internal storage and a 1750mAh battery. Unfortunately though the device still runs on Android KitKat (4.4) in an era of Android Marshmallow (6.0). Another weak point of the device is abacene of 4G LTE connectivity.
The device however comes with dual SIM support. It is also available in a range of colours - dark blue, black with gold and blue with silver.
But should you buy this device? That's tricky question actually. In case you don't mind waiting for flash sales and grabbing a device in a matter of secs, then YU YUNIQUE with Snapdragon 410 SoC and Android Lollipop should be your obvious choice.

Plus with Stock Android on-board you can expect Micromax to push monthly updates. This won't be the case with Spice though.
The USP of the Spice X511 Pro however is the ease of buying. The device is available is most brick and mortar stores across India where you can buy the device hassle free at a bargain.
