Swipe Elite: A New Smartphone Launched with Customised Freedom OS at Rs 5,999

    Today, Swipe Telecom has launched the online-only smartphone in the Indian market today. Dubbed as Swipe ELITE, this device comes with own customised OS called Freedom OS based on Android Lollipop 5.0. Also, this device will be available on the e-commerce store Flipkart.

    Moving on to the specifications of the device, this ELITE smartphone comes packed with 5-inch HD display, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage with an expandable option up to 32 GB, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, 3G connectivity and powered by a 2500mAh battery.

    Moreover, the device comes with Freedom OS, which allows the users to customise on their own. It comes with built-in themes while users have the option of adding gestures for fixed actions.

    There is a Swipe Feature, which acts a search engine inside the phone, where it will help the users to find files, word documents, apps and Assist X feature will let the user to call directly, chat, locate a service centre from the phone, in case of any issues.

    Swipe's Founder-CEO Shripal Gandhi said the new smartphone was a limited period offering and they will not go for the flash sale model with this phone. "It's only because of the online model that we can keep the price of the smartphone low. Given the specs and the UI features offered with the ELITE this will be a disruptive budget smartphone in India's mobile space."

    The Swipe ELITE comes at a price of Rs. 5,999 and will be available exclusively on the e-retail store Flipkart.com
