Tecno Camon 20 Series to Get Android 14 Beta

After the announcement of Android 14 by Google, Tecno confirmed it will be one of the first smartphone brands to offer Android 14 Beta. The beta will be rolled out to the newly launched Tecno Camon 20 series.

The Camon 20 Series which includes the Camon 20, the Camon 20 Pro, and the Camera 20 Pro Premier 5G were launched earlier this week touting high-end camera features and a unique design. The Camon 20 Series features a first of its kind 5000 times per second Sensor-Shift OIS that controls shake on the primary 50MP RGBW camera.

Android 14 Beta Releasing on Camon 20 Series

The Android 14 Beta announced by Google at I/O 2023 earlier this week will augment the user experience of the smartphone series with a host of privacy, security, performance, and UI upgrades laden with AI.

"As such, we're delighted to be continuing our long-term partnership with Google to bring Android 14 Beta to the newest CAMON 20 Series, which allows our users to be among the first to experience the pleasures of the new features on Android 14," he added.

Android 14 will introduce new features such as a higher privacy level, where apps with a target SDK version lower than 23 cannot be installed. The new update will also improve battery life with improvements in handling background tasks, data sessions, etc. Android 14 also comes with enhanced accessibility settings with significantly more font scaling.

The Camon 20 Series features a unique puzzle deconstructionist design which won the MUSE design award, fusing three-dimensional ribbed Magic Skin and advanced ceramic material to create an innovative back cover.
