Tecno Camon 40 Series India launch Timeline, Key Specifications, and Colour Variants Tipped

Tecno is expected to launch the Camon 40 series smartphones soon in the global markets including India. The upcoming Camon 40 series comprises the Camon 40, Camon 40 Pro, Camon 40 Pro 5G, and the Camon 40 Premier 5G are reportedly launching during the MWC 2025, which is scheduled to take place between March 3 and 6 in Barcelona, Spain.

While there's no official word regarding the upcoming smartphones, a new report by Passionategeekz reveals the key features, designs, colour options and launch date of the Camon 40 series.

Tecno Camon 40 Series Launch Timeline (Expected)

According to Passionategeekz, Tecno will announce the Tecno Camon 40 series on March 4 with a global launch expected for mid-March. The report further mentions the India launch of the Tecno Camon 40 series could take place in the month of May 2025.

Tecno Camon 40 Series: What to Expect?

Tecno Camon 40: The standard Camon 40 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM (8GB VRAM) and 256GB of storage.

For imaging, there will be e 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8 MP wide-angle lens at the rear panel. Upfront, it might opt for a 32MP selfie camera. The device is also tipped to pack a 5200mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Moreover, the phone is said to be available in Galaxy Black, Emerald Lake Green, Glacier White, and Emerald Glow Green colour options.

Tecno Camon 40 Pro 4G: The Camon 40 Pro is said to share the same battery, and processor as the standard model. However, it will get a higher-resolution 50MP front camera. It is also expected to sport a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The Camon 40 Pro 4G is tipped to come in Galaxy Black, Emerald Lake Green, and Glacier White colours.

Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G: The Camon 40 Pro 5G is said to be powered by the Dimensity 7300 Ultimate processor. The camera setup, battery, and display remain identical to the Camon 40 Pro 4G. However, the 5G variant will have a higher 144Hz refresh rate. Even it's said to come with 24GB RAM (12GB VRAM) and 256GB storage. This model is also expected to come in Galaxy Black, Emerald Lake Green, and Glacier White colour variants.

Tecno Camon 40 Premier 5G: The Camon Premier 5G will be the top-tier model in the series, which is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3X zoom, and a wide-angle camera. It is tipped to be powered by the Dimensity 8350 Ultimate AI processor.

Upfront, it might opt for a 50MP selfie camera and a 6.67-inch AMOLED quad-curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the Camon 40 Premier 5G may pack a 5100mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Lastly, the handset will be available in two colour options namely -- Galaxy Black, Emerald Lake Green.
