Tecno has confirmed the official launch date for its latest flip-foldable smartphone. The Tecno Phantom V Flip will join the Tecno Phantom F Fold, a dual-display, flip-foldable Android smartphone.

While teasing the arrival of the Phantom V Flip, Tecno said the smartphone reflects its "commitment to exploring new form factors and redefining the style and functionality of flip phones for passionate, fashionable, and forward-looking audiences."

Tecno has announced the arrival of the Tecno Phantom V Flip, a clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone. The company has scheduled an event on September 22, 2023, in Singapore, at 3:00 PM local time (12:30 PM IST).

Tecno hasn't confirmed yet, but it is quite likely that the brand will hold a special launch event for its first-ever large-screen foldable smartphone. Incidentally, alongside the smartphone, Tecno will also launch the MegaBook T1 2023, a 14-inch sleek and compact laptop, presumably intended for professionals.

Tecno Phantom V Flip Specifications And Features (Leaked)

The Tecno Phantom V Flip is a clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone. Tecno hasn't offered any more information about the device. However, the device has recently surfaced in leaks, rumors, and renders.

The Phantom V Flip is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch foldable OLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and a blazing-fast 144Hz refresh rate. The smartphone should run Android 13 with Tecno's HiOS 13 custom skin.

Although the inner foldable display on the Tecno Phantom V Flip is large, the highlight of the smartphone could be the outer or cover display, which is round, instead of the conventional rectangular or square shape. This rumored 1.39-inch circular display is tipped to have a 466 x 466 pixels resolution.

The circular cover display will have dual cameras mounted around its periphery alongside a single LED flash, headlined by an OIS-enabled 64MP primary camera and accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

This arrangement is also visible on the Honor 90 and the recently launched Huawei Mate 60 series smartphones. There could be a 32MP front-facing camera nestled inside the inner foldable display of the Phantom V Flip.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip is powered by the MediaTek MT6893Z/CZA Soc, which could be the Dimensity 1300 chipset. The midrange SoC could be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

Tecno may have embedded a 4000mAh battery inside the Phantom V Flip, with support for 45W wired fast charging. There should be a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

Leaked renders suggest there might not be a 3.5mm headphone jack on the Tecno Phantom V Flip. The flip-foldable smartphone from Tecno is expected to be available in three colors: Minimal Black, Film White, and Periwinkle Purple.
